ABOUT ME

Growing up with limited exposure to my culture of origin, I found myself confused and in-between cultures.

There was a lot of cultural learning and un-learning in my childhood. After studying Western Philosophy at the University of Oxford for my undergraduate, I was drawn to Eastern Philosophy and travelled to Peking University to learn more about my own roots.

Along the way, I became better at putting my struggles around culture, identity and racism into words. Slowly, I forged my own identity with newfound confidence.

Thanks to my lived experiences, I am passionate about using what I've learned create a more welcoming and inclusive world for all Chinese diaspora like myself.

This includes empowering wider society and employers with the best tools for understanding and practicing diversity, inclusion and cultural sensitivity.

Some of my favourite ways to invite cultural exploration and discussion is through through my Xiao Supper Club, in which we can come together to discuss and learn topical issues with curiosity, compassion and community over good food.
